Iranian movie ‘Until Tomorrow’ to vie in South Korea

Iranian movie ‘Until Tomorrow’ is to compete at the 2022 Ulju Mountain Filmfest in South Korea.

Iranian movie ‘Until Tomorrow’ has been selected to compete at the 2022 edition of the Ulju Mountain Film Festival (UMFF) in South Korea.

Produced by filmmaker/actress Niki Karimi and directed by Ali Asgari, the Iranian-French-Qatari movie is about a student who has a secret and is trying to hide it from her family.

“Student Fereshteh has to hide her illegitimate baby for one night from her parents who turn up for a surprise visit. Her friend Atefeh helps her. They embark on an odyssey through Tehran during which they must carefully weigh up who their allies are,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The movie has previously participated in several international film festivals including the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival in Germany and the 41st International Istanbul Film Festival in Turkey.

According to the official website of UMFF, “it is dedicated to promoting films and culture dealing with mountains, adventure, and exploration, nature, and environment”.

The 7th Ulju Mountain Film Festival will be held in Ulju, from 1st to 10th April 2022.
